time wasters

HEROES and virtual villagers2 have been occupying much of my mid term break. so my eyesight must be really bad now. can feel it, was sitting at the bad for tutorial today and was straining to see the screen. HEROES is so cool!@! i love the comic book artsy way the plot follows, somewhat like X MEN. i've never watched something on youtube for extended periods of time before....

yikes.

have lotsa homework to do... hardly doing any of it.. haha, seriously i think the thought of me already having a place in TTSH makes me even more slack. not that im already not slack. tsk tsk.

after returning home from reunion dinner, we decided to give our arms some good exercise by making those almond cookies and burning off some calories.

it was my first attempt at making chinese new year goodies.
my sister's pineapple tarts are a hit. (already finished half)
so this is her second hit.
well, it was therapeutic kneading the dough at first but then it really got so tiring. grinding the almonds with the mortar and pestle wasn't too easy also even though i've gotten better at it in LAB mixing lactose and grinding drugs.

a good start to a fattening new year. and my mid term break. (hope i dun pile on too much though)
pass me those love letters and bak kwa please.

(*GASP* 2 more months of school life left.)

next year gotta start giving ang pao to my parents already. work work.

i found the place

i accepted ttsh this morning. so i'll be travelling to novena for 9 months from june.

during the interview, i told them i wanted to do sales and marketing in MSD after pre registration.
and, the reason why i chose ttsh was that they had the communicable disease centre. which sounded pretty silly after i said it. so i thought that i did badly for the interview.

good! now i dun have to go for guardian interview on fri. so i can have a free day! woohoo!

it was a very harrowing 1 week of having uncertainty and doubt and what ifs flooding my mind - what if i dun get a place anywhere? times like these when i struggled to trust God, that he would give me a place. anxiety and fear and stress and tension filled the atmosphere of my class, sometimes it was impossible not to get caught into the thickness of the highly strung crowd. but deep within me i knew i would have a place, i just didnt know where, and when i would get that call. funny thing is i sent the least certs with my ttsh application. my photos were all printed using my comp printer. (save money) truly glad i only spent 2 mornings going for interviews. it's real draining man. well, at least i'm having a break now to recuperate.... peace....
